When Local Talent Matters

CEO & Leadership

Outside of roles where being local is needed to perform the job, we believe the biggest reason for going local for many organizations is to improve collaboration between key leadership members. The CEO and leadership team need to be tightly aligned in an early stage organization to drive the product forward and collaborate in their domains. Our default as an organization is to keep these key positions as close as possible for collaboration.

Local Presence Needed

As stated above some roles simply require a local presence. In these situations, remote talent is not an option.

Communication Is Critical

Sometimes you need to be able to talk easily throughout the entire day. Maybe the position is more strategic and thus you want more time to have brainstorming sessions without the pain of a video meeting. In these situations, it can make sense to look for someone local.
