Cookie Policy

Last updated

This page explains every cookie slashdev.io can set, which ones need your permission, and how to change your mind at any time.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a site stores in your browser. Similar technologies — localStorage, pixels and tracking scripts — do comparable things, and everything in this policy applies to them equally.

We split them into strictly necessary cookies, which the site cannot work without, and optional cookies, which we only set if you agree. Nothing optional runs before you accept: the consent state is applied through Google Consent Mode v2 with every category denied by default, so tags load in a restricted, cookieless mode until you say otherwise.

Categories we use

  • Strictly necessary — routing, form submission, security and remembering your cookie choice. No consent required, and they cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics — aggregated statistics about which pages get read and where visitors drop off. Optional.
  • Marketing — measuring which ad or campaign brought you here, and showing you relevant ads on other platforms. Optional.

Analytics and marketing cookies

These are only set after you accept the matching category. They are delivered through our Google Tag Manager container, so the exact set depends on which tags are active at the time.

Where a cookie is set by a third party, that provider processes the data under its own privacy terms as well as our agreement with it. Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with the resulting data and the rights you have over it.

Changing or withdrawing consent

Your current setting: Checking your saved choice…

You can also entirely. Optional cookies are switched off again immediately and you will be asked the next time you visit.

Browser-level controls

Every major browser can block or delete cookies for a site, and most offer a “do not track” or tracking-prevention setting. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break forms and navigation. Deleting cookies also deletes your stored consent choice, so the banner will reappear.

Changes to this policy

When we add or remove a tag that sets cookies, we update this page and, if the change affects what you agreed to, we ask for consent again. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
