What happens after you tick the consent box on one of our forms: who gets in touch, how often, and how to stop it in one word.
What you agreed to
When you submitted one of our forms and ticked the consent box, you agreed that Slashdev can contact you about what you asked for and about related work we do. That can be by email, by phone, or by text message to the number you gave us.
Consent is not a condition of getting anything from us. The reports on this site open the moment you submit the form, whether or not we ever contact you afterwards.
How often we message
Text messages are rare and they come from a person. For a report download it is at most two texts over three weeks, and they stop immediately if you reply to any of them. Email is more frequent: a short sequence over the first three weeks, and then the monthly edition of whichever report you downloaded.
We do not sell or share your number, and nobody outside Slashdev sends you messages on our behalf.
Stopping the messages
Reply STOP to any text and the texts end straight away. UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT do the same thing. You will get one confirmation and then nothing further.
You do not have to use a keyword. Replying in your own words, emailing [email protected], or telling us on a call works just as well, and we will treat any of those as you withdrawing consent.
Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link at the bottom, which ends the emails and any sequence you are in. Stopping one channel does not automatically stop the other, so tell us if you want both to end.
Cost and carriers
We do not charge for messages. Your own carrier may apply its standard message and data rates, and those are between you and them. Message delivery is not guaranteed: carriers occasionally filter or delay messages for reasons outside our control.
Getting help
Reply HELP to any text, or email [email protected] and a person will answer. For what we store and why, see the Privacy Policy; for the terms covering everything else, see the Platform Terms.
Changes to these terms
If we change how often we message or what we message about, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If a change materially widens what you agreed to, we will ask you again rather than rely on this page.
