Abacus Health

A Salesforce operations platform for a health-benefits organization: leadership reporting, program reporting with a review workflow, rebate management, and e-signed client agreements.

  • UI/UX Design
  • Salesforce Development
  • Sales Pipeline Optimization

Abacus Health runs health and pharmacy-benefit programs for employer groups, brokers and joint-purchase groups. Account management, sales and finance work lived across Salesforce, spreadsheets and email, and the team wanted a dedicated Salesforce engineer without hiring one.

Slashdev embedded a senior Salesforce engineer on a weekly delivery cadence, working directly with the operations, sales and finance leads. Each module is designed with them, shipped to a sandbox for review, and released to production on an agreed schedule.

What we built

  • Leadership reportingParticipation-versus-goal reporting with the fee structure modelled in, used in the weekly leadership meeting.
  • Program reportingMonthly, quarterly, annual and claims-analysis report tracking per client program, with reviewer assignments and an editable reporting period.
  • Rebate managementQuarterly rebate imports, account-level roll-ups, broker-grouped statements with history, and letters logged as activities.
  • Client agreements and e-signatureAgreement generation from the opportunity with Adobe Sign e-signature, including a path for legally edited PDFs.
  • Account hierarchyParent and sub-account structure on native Salesforce hierarchy so joint-purchase groups roll up correctly, with address propagation.
  • Team workflowRecurring and multi-contact tasks, task views, opportunity views for account managers, and email deliverability fixes.

How we work with them

Standard Salesforce first: every module starts from native objects and features, so the team keeps its own reporting and admin tools. Custom code is reserved for what the platform cannot do.

Requirements are captured as business problems in the weekly call. Slashdev proposes the design, builds in the sandbox, and the client's reviewers sign off on a fixed schedule before anything reaches production.
