Upgraded Formulas sells stabilised nano-mineral supplements (magnesium, zinc, iron, potassium and targeted blends for sleep, hormones and thyroid) alongside at-home hair tissue mineral analysis, to a community of over 110,000 customers. The business runs on Shopify, with personalised assessments, benefits-based shopping and educational content layered on top.
We stepped in as tech lead and fractional CTO: setting technical direction, owning vendors and releases, and modernising the Shopify store in place rather than through a risky replatform. Senior engineering the founders could lean on without building an in-house team.
